5th C: Climate Neutral / Carbon Neutral

JOY COLORi is committed to sustainability, leading the industry by introducing 100% climate-neutral diamonds. This represents an important milestone in the diamond industry, significantly reducing greenhouse gas emissions and the environmental pollution caused by consumer shopping. Verified by the sustainable development organization SCS Global Services as 100% climate neutral and sustainably rated, each diamond is engraved with a certification number on its girdle, indicating its traceable origin from the moment it was created to when it was set in jewelry.

Cut

Using classic Belgian cutting techniques, the diamond’s cut grade is determined by its proportions and symmetry, as well as how light reflects through the diamond. The cut should neither be too shallow nor too deep—professionally cut to optimize fire, brilliance, and brightness, graded from Very Good to Ideal. *JOY COLORi only selects diamonds with Ideal cuts.

Color

The color is graded by diamond certification institutions, ranging from “D” (colorless) to “Z” (light yellow/brown). Each letter represents the diamond’s color grade. Diamonds with higher saturation, such as orange, blue, or pink, are classified as “Fancy Color Diamonds” and graded through other evaluations. The IIA type diamonds selected by JOY COLORi are free of impurities, graded as colorless (DEF) or near colorless (GHI).

Clarity

Every diamond has inherent inclusions, like a natural birthmark, representing its unique DNA. Certified international documents clearly indicate the clarity grade. JOY COLORi diamonds are classified as Very Slightly Included (VS) or better.

Carat

Carat refers to the weight unit, with one carat also known as 100 points. For example, 0.50 carats = 50 points, 1.00 carat = 100 points, symbolizing 100% happiness.

JOY COLORi offers free ring size card delivery service within Taiwan. However, if you need to measure your ring size immediately without a size card, you can:

1. Wrap a piece of string or dental floss around the base of your finger.
2. Mark the point where the string overlaps.
3. Lay the string flat on a ruler and measure the length in centimeters (cm).
4. Check the ring size chart to find the corresponding size.

For wedding rings or diamond rings, it is recommended that you have them professionally cleaned at least once every six months. JOY COLORi offers lifetime diamond cleaning and maintenance services. Developing good wearing habits is essential to maintain the brilliant luster of your diamond. You can also perform simple at-home cleaning weekly:

Diamonds have an oil-loving property, so to prevent dirt buildup, it’s advisable to soak your jewelry in warm water mixed with a mild detergent for 3-5 minutes. Then, gently scrub with a soft brush, rinse with clean water, and air dry. You can use a hairdryer or a soft cloth to remove any water spots.

Wedding rings and diamond rings can generally be worn all day. However, to maintain the quality of the ring, avoid dropping, colliding, or subjecting it to strong impacts. Wearing diamond rings while doing housework or engaging in vigorous exercise may cause the precious metal to tarnish or scratch.
